Meeting Minutes from May 20th 2011

These minutes will go over what was discussed in the meeting from Friday, May 20th 2011. This is just a abbreviated format that touches on several subjects. Expect detailed posts to follow concerning some of the following subjects.

  • THE POSTING OF ROSTERS FOR BOTH PRACTICE AND CLAN MATCHES
As mentioned in a prior post, the planned Clan Match details will be posted 2 weeks at least from the Planned date. With the exception of the specifics on the maps to be fought on. We would like player feed back. With in 7 days of the posting, a Roster will be provided, with 2 back ups preferred along with hopefully the maps to be played.

  • PRACTICE
Is to be handled as if it were a competition concerning sign up and terms of seriousness. Practice until AMG grows will be done against randoms. When we reach enough members, private matches will be tried out. This will take some practice on itself to achieve, but we are looking for QUALITY practice sessions, which has been hit or miss with us. It will only benefit AMG.

  • PROSPECTS
Prospects will be evaluated and played with (I hate that term "played with") on a basis at which we are available. We have organized a list, trust me we will get to you but it might take a couple of weeks. We are looking for quality Team Players who are wanting to meld with our existing group.

  • DEFENSE
PATIENCE is Our Key to Improving our Defense. The captains came up with a system , but due to other on lookers, this will be discussed in further detail at another time. This like just about everything else will be trial and error. PATIENCE is Key though.

  • PATIENCE...PATIENCE....PATIENCE.
One of our key faults is patience. Especially concerning defense. While aggression is good, let your aggression be in your defense-attack, don't let your aggression set you on a hunt. Remember that when someone leaves there post, you create a hole in the defense, and the enemy will find and exploit that hole.

  • OFFENSE
We have a good solid offense that with some tweaking will really really take people by storm. Patience and good/clean communication/timing are our areas to work on. With some work on the timing/patience we will crush any defense. I cant go into to much detail because other people also have eyes on this site other than our members. We have several plans to try out and practice with for 12 on 12 concerning both offense and defense that I'm excited about. But we need good serious practice to evaluate which works, and which does not.

  • MAPS FOR PRACTICE
Maps that we practice are to be rotated from our usual. Focus will be on New maps. Oasis, Nelson Bay and Atamaca Desert. Practice on Defense concerning Arica Harbor, is something to look for also.

  • NEW IDEAS BROUGHT UP BY A MEMBER
A member came to the captains with a great idea of furthering our structure, but due to our size we are not able to implement such a system yet. When we do get more members though this is an idea definitely worth looking into. Thank you for you suggestion and interest. We will keep you posted. Good thinking.

  • WRAP UP
This concludes the contents of discussion from our meeting. As mentioned prior, some subjects will receive further detail on separate posts.

  1. These were the major things that we talked about during our captains meeting and I appreciate Mercury listing them out for everyone to see. One thing that was left out that we dicussed was that the Captains still choose the roster. We all have to agree on every player. It's a right that is reserved to the captains. Without going into any major strategy for everyone to see, PATIENCE was the main thing we talked about. If we run around like a bunch of retards then the enemy WILL slip through our defenses and light the MCOMS. Remember on defense they HAVE to come to us. I know that it's hard to just sit there especially when the action is somewhere else, but it will help our team in the long run if everyone just had a little more patience. Hopefully this will help our members see what we actually talk about during these meetings. Good job, Woo.
