AMG Contest - RESULTS

Congrats to carbone1993!

He was the winner of the AMG contest/match tonight. He was also made an official member tonight during the match. These were the results for anyone that is interested:

Thanks to all the guys that showed up to play. It was a lot of fun and something we will definitely be doing again in the future. (especially the knife battles!!!!)

Johnny, I thought you weren't supposed to be wearing your party dress until this weekend??? Your wife sent me a picture of you already in your costume! Pink with yellow polka dots, just like you said! Looks like he might have Ryan's pink controller hidden under that dress, too. Guess he really is enjoying that extra vibration! LMAO

AMG Contest - this weekend

**This is for AMG members only unless you receive an invite from one of the captains.**

We were thinking since this is probably one of the last weekends we will all be playing BFBC2 as a group (since BF3 is coming out next week), it would be the perfect time to have the AMG contest we have been talking about. First we need to see how many people are interested and can play. We were hoping to have the contest on Friday (10/21) from 9 PM - 12 AM EST. (we will consider Saturday, too, depending on everyone's schedules) I know that we can't accommodate everyone's schedules but we will choose whichever night the most people can get on.

Some of you might already know about this but for anyone that doesn't, here's what were thinking. This will be in a private match setting. There are going to be multiple games/competitions for you to compete in. Most of them are going to be crazy and not at ALL serious. Just an example of some of the things we came up with:

-Most kills with C4

-Most kills with RPGs/grenade launchers

-Most kills with the repair tool

-Most kills with the defibrillator

-Most kills with the knife

-Most kills with hand grenades, etc, etc, etc...

You will ONLY be allowed to use that weapon, nothing else. These things aren't easy so just about anyone that plays will have a good chance at winning. There would be a point system to make it fair - 5 points for 1st place, 3 points for 2nd place, 1 point for 3rd place. Whoever has the most points at the end of the night wins.

We're thinking right now that the top winner will win a $25 Gamestop gift card or a 1600 Microsoft Points card. Your choice.

Please post here or send one of the captains a message to let us know if you can play. If so, let us know what day would be better for you. The time will remain 9 PM - 12 AM EST no matter what day we choose. You don't have to stay on the entire night. The longer you play, the better chance you have of winning.

Turning things up a Notch for Battlefield 3!

Even though the Beta for Battlefield 3 may have been an inaccurate representation of the finished game a few things became quite apparent.

What I have here is a short list comprised of observations and adjustments that need made for AMG to take on Clans in Battlefield 3.

• TEAM WORK. Now, more so than ever it is imperative that we use TOTAL team work. There will be little room for Lone-Wolf, or Runner and Gunner types. Its going to be a TOTAL TEAM EFFORT, like it or not. If we loose, no one will care if you went 39 and 4, especially if it didnt contribute to the goal.


• STRATEGY. While we had a basic fundamental concept of what to execute, in Battlefield 3 it seems to be that Brains will match Brawn. Once again, this will also rely heavily on TEAM WORK. So, the Captains will have to formulate and successfully communicate a Strategy. Which in turn we will expect for other team members to execute to the best of there ability.


• PATIENCE. We all must demonstrate patience on many levels. Before wego jumping into setting up matches, we must be leveled up to a degree of usefullness and skill. Also patience during the actual game. Once again, no room for Lone Wolf antics, so patience. Your squad and team mates will depend on it.

To further AMG and meet the intensified demands of Battle Field 3, I must become to a degree more stern and enforce rules that were already established. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, or ass, but I want AMG to be successful, and will do what I must to ensure that it remains a functioning team, and is successful.
